Car Insurance Alfa Romeo (Car Insurance). Anyone know a place for a car loan for an 84 car?Anyone know a place for a car loan for an 84 car? I found a very nice, clean 1984 Nissan 300zx Turbo. I can't find a place that would do a car loan that's in the 80's. Does anyone know? My bank only does cars that are 2005 and up. My buddy said not to use Eagle Banking, cause he got screwed over with that...I really need a newer car. Well new, old car. I've always wanted a 300zx and I could afford this one. Any ideas to where to get a loan at? I wanna get this before it's gone since it's rare and everything It's called cash...that's what buys you that car. Auto parts : Oil Filter Relocation Acura 1995 . Brand new R1 bag of sh*t! Spins constantly. On my first trip yesterday,I had no less than 3 rear wheel drifts..? ...which normally would be fun if planned. But even when i attempt standing-starts, it just snakes it's way through 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd. (sounds lovely though) Different 'modes' interesting too. To pull wheelies, given the lack of grip, unbelievably I have to physically hoist it up! What is going on here? The simplist thing I can point to is poor quality tyres. They do not appear to be a top shelf product but don't look like Superdream tyres either. Could the temp be an issue for the tyres? Its about 33C each day where I am. As a comparison, my '96 Blade (tuned professionaly, but only a little bit) would simply walk away from this R1... Penny for your thoughts on this please... car insurance. Alfa Romeo . How to Change a 1984 F-150 Driver Side Window Power MotorThe window power motor on your 1984 Ford F-150 stopped working and you need to replace it ASAP. However, if you think that you lack the technical knowledge to do it yourself, think again. Although the driver's side window motor on your F-150 is hiding behind the door panel, you can work your way around it to remove it with a few common tools. You will save a few hundred dollars in shop repairs and get your window back in operation in just a few minutes. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Wrench Phillips screwdriver Trim panel removal tool Small screwdriver Small Allen wrench Black marker Electric drill 1/2-inch (13 mm) drill bit Ratchet Short ratchet extension Socket 2-by-4 (wood) Waterproof body tapeSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?DoneRemove the Motor Step by Step : 1 Detach the battery ground (black) cable with a wrench. 2 Unfasten and remove the bolts from the armrest and door handle with a Phillips screwdriver. Look for any other screws holding the trim to the door panel on your particular F-150 model and remove them. 3 Detach the seven pushpins around the trim panel securing it to the door's frame with a trim panel removal tool. 4 Carefully lift the housing containing the power door lock and window switches, using a small screwdriver as a prying tool. 5 Remove the outside rearview mirror switch housing from the trim panel with a small Allen wrench if your F-150 model comes equipped with it. 6 Lift up the trim panel to disengage the panel upper edge from the door panel and remove the panel. 7 Pull the door panel plastic cover off and set it aside. 8 Reach through the hole on the panel with your hand and unplug the regulator-motor electrical connector, located inside the panel on the bottom left corner. 9 Locate the three regulator-motor mounting bolts. Since the motor is out of view behind the door panel, feel with your hand around the motor's upper section to locate the bolts. In front of two of these bolts you will see a dimple on the door panel. If necessary, mark these two dimples with a black marker. Step by Step : 10 Drill a hole on the two dimples you located in Step 9 with an electric drill and a 1/2-inch (13 mm) drill bit to gain access to the bolts. Step by Step : 11 Unfasten the two bolts with a ratchet, short ratchet extension and socket. Unfasten the hidden bolt with the ratchet and socket by reaching through the hole in the panel. Step by Step : 12 Support the window glass with a suitable 2-by-4 through the door panel. Carefully pull the regulator motor toward you to disengage the motor from the gears. Remove the motor through the panel hole. Install the Motor Step by Step : 1 Position the new window motor in place and thread the three bolts finger-tight. Tighten the bolts with the ratchet, short ratchet extension and socket. 2 Apply waterproof body tape to the holes you drilled on the door panel and remove the piece of wood supporting the window glass. 3 Reach through the hole on the panel with your hand and plug in the regulator motor electrical connector. 4 Replace the door panel plastic cover. 5 Replace the trim panel on the door, making sure that the top springs on the panel engage the door's upper frame. 6 Reinstall the outside rearview mirror switch housing to the trim panel with the small Allen wrench if your F-150 comes equipped with it. 7 Replace the housing for the power door lock and window switches. 8 Push the seven pushpins around the trim panel to secure it to the door's frame. 9 Fasten the bolt on the armrest and door handle with a Phillips screwdriver and any other screws you had to remove on your particular F-150 model. Step by Step : 10 Attach the battery ground (black) cable with the wrench.
Alfa Romeo . How to Fix the Armrest on a Honda OdysseyThe armrest on a Honda Odyssey is integrated into the front door panel unit. You may be able to repair damage to the armrest without removing the door panel. But if the damage is internal and if the armrest is structurally unsound, then you will need to remove the entire panel. Thankfully Honda's reputation for high quality and precision hold true when it comes to their plastic trim and interior panels, making this job not so tedious as it might be on a less sturdy car. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Flathead Screwdriver Phillips Screwdriver Trim Pad Remover Fiberglass Repair Kit 120 Grit SandpaperRemoving the Front Door Panel Step by Step : 1 Pry out the plastic clip from the middle of the mirror mount cover with a flathead screwdriver. Remove the mirror mount cover by prying from the bottom while sliding it up and out. 2 Pry off the plastic cap behind the inner door handle with a flathead screwdriver, exposing a screw. Unscrew the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. 3 Slide the door handle forward and halfway out. Remove the handle rod by swiveling the plastic retaining piece forward and then lifting the bent end of the rod out of the door handle. 4 Pry the speaker grille off of the speaker with a flathead screwdriver. Unscrew the screws that hold the speaker in place. Unfasten the wiring harness behind the speaker. 5 Pry off the plastic cap inside the pull pocket panel. The pull pocket is used as a grip point for closing the door from inside the car. Remove the screw inside the pull pocket. Pry up the pull pocket with a flathead screwdriver. Unfasten the wiring harnesses. 6 Pry up the bottom and side edges of the door panel with a trim pad remover -- or flathead screwdriver, if you do not have a trim pad remover. Carefully pull the door panel off and up, while reaching behind, if necessary, to release a clip in the center near the speaker mount. Repairing Damage to the Armrest Step by Step : 1 Sand the area to be repaired. Cut fiberglass cloth about 3 inches larger than the area to be repaired. 2 Mix or shake the fiberglass resin. Apply resin generously over the fiberglass cloth and the area to be repaired with the resin applicator. Allow to dry overnight. 3 Sand the repaired area. Repeat application, if necessary, for a stronger or smoother surface. Installing the Front Door Panel Step by Step : 1 Slide the front door panel down into position, allowing the top edge to slip into the window groove. Press into the door until all clips snap into position. 2 Fasten the wiring harness onto the pull pocket. Press the pull pocket down and back into position. Replace the screw and plastic cap. 3 Fasten the wiring harness onto the speaker. Replace the speaker and speaker screws. Press the speaker grille back into position. 4 Press the door handle rod down into the hole in the door handle unit. Swivel the plastic retaining piece back to lock the rod into position. Slide the door handle back and into the door. Replace the screw and plastic cap. 5 Press the mirror mount cover down and into position. Press the plastic clip into the hole in the mirror mount cover with your fingers. Tips & Warnings Wrap the end of a flathead screwdriver with electrical tape, if necessary, to prevent it from scratching the trim pieces. In some Honda Odyssey models you will not need to remove the speaker, which will be attached to the door under the door panel. Be careful not to bend the door panel too much while removing it or it may break. If you cannot repair the armrest, you will need to replace the entire door panel, since the armrest is not sold apart from the door panel. If you keep getting the gap too narrow or too wide, don't feel bad. Everyone I know goes through the "too large-too small-too large" bit a couple of times for each plug, especially the perfectionists. After you're done gapping your spark plug, it's time to insert it in the engine. The next section has the details. Installing a spark ptuq To insert a spark plug into the engine, follow these steps: 1. Clean the spark plug hole in the cylinder block with a clean, lint-free cloth. Wipe away from the hole; don't shove any dirt into it. 2. Lightly coat the threads of the spark plug with anti-seize compound, being careful not to get any on the center or side electrodes. Ford F450 Super Duty Regular Cab & Chassis. * 3. Carefully begin threading the spark plug into the engine by hand, turning it clockwise. This is called "seating the plug." You have to do it by hand, or you run the risk of starting the plug crooked and ruining the threads on the plug or threads in the engine. If you have trouble holding onto the plug, you can buy a spark plug starter and fit it over the plug, or you can use an old spark plug wire boot or a piece of vacuum hose to make your own. 4. After you engage the plug by hand, turn it at least two full turns before utilizing the spark plug socket and ratchet. 5. Slip the spark plug socket over the spark plug, attach the ratchet handle, and continue turning the plug clockwise until you meet resistance. Alfa Romeo . The plug should stick a little when you try to loosen it, but you should be able to loosen it again without straining yourself. Tighten and loosen the first plug once or twice to get the proper feel of the thing. . Chapter 12: Keeping Your Electrical System in Tune If you have a torque wrench, you can look in the manual for the proper setting and use it after you seat the plug by hand. Then try to loosen the plug by hand. This gives you the proper feel for how tight it should be. Most do-it-yourselfers tend to replace plugs without torque wrenches because torque wrenches are difficult to work with in the small space between the block and the other parts of the vehicle. 6. Inspect the entire length of the spark plug wire before attaching its boot to the plug. If the wire is cracked, brittle, or frayed or is saturated with oil, replace it. 7. Before you attach the boot to the spark plug, apply some silicone lubricant to the inside of the boot; then push the boot over the exposed terminal of the new plug and press it firmly into place.
